No rest for 'Flag Man' who pays tribute to fallen soldiers
Mon May 27, 2013
Sadly, he has come to our county twice. It takes your breath away and moves you to tears. He has no personal agenda--he just does this because he thinks it is a good thing to do. Maybe it gives the families a tiny bit of comfort --I think it did here.
Disputes over environmental impact of 'fracking' obscure its future
Sun Apr 7, 2013
This is a huge issue now in southern Illinois. They (oil companies) are trying to lease every single acre of land in several counties. However, the state is trying to put severe restrictions on it which will make the oil companies run.

Parents need to "check" your kids? You've got to be kidding. So if I go downtown and attack someone all I need is a little checking out and I'm good to go? Now we fear them so no punishment.
12-year-old boy who was victim of bullying attack dies after weeks in hospital
Mon Mar 4, 2013
I hate it when they call such acts "bullying". If this happened to any one of us on the street, it would be a felony assault charge. We need to start charging and prosecuting these cases for what they are--criminal acts-felonies.

Low life b------. Men and women who can't take rejection need to get help. No one likes to be rejected, but killing and torturing people--you are sick and evil. I'm glad the surgeries are finally coming to an end for her and that the outcome was successful.
Mammoth snowstorm knocks out power to more than half a million customers
Fri Feb 8, 2013
If this storm were occurring in the Midwest, there wouldn't be any Weather Channel coverage. It would be mentioned in passing because they would be concerned when it was going to reach the east.
Judge postpones Texas woman's execution
Tue Jan 29, 2013
Sometimes I wonder about the death sentence. But I know without a doubt that if this crime had been committed on a loved one of mine, well, I know where I would stand. It is so easy to say what we would do or believe until it actually happens to us.
Las Vegas police in shock after lieutenant kills wife, son, self
Tue Jan 22, 2013
Why oh why do you have to take everyone with you? I'm wondering if she was asking for a divorce. Poor, poor kid.
Antivirus pioneer John McAfee reveals new details to Dateline NBC
Thu Jan 17, 2013
I can't imagine poisoning a dog (or any animal) no matter how irritating or how mean it was. But it seems like he could have afforded a really nice fenced in area for them. I wish he would have done that. Just a tragic mess no matter what. I feel sorry for Faul's family and his birds.
